Rome´s Festivals

With Rome being completely stuffed with culture it is no surprise the locals like to share this culture with the rest of the world . Across the year there are a number of events which happen which, while enjoyed by the local residents, are also a great excuse for holiday makers to visit this marvellous town. The holidays, while varying in nature, are consistent in the pleasure and richness that they add to the already beguiling culture of Rome. Below are only some of these holidays which you can like to attend :

Beginning at the very beginning of the year there are normal parties on January first. After the prior nights parties, New Years Day is a fun filled event with a parade which goes along the through della Conciliazione and finishes at St. Peters Square where the Pope gives his New Year blessings for all.

The Festa di San Giovanni - every year on and around June 24th the citizens of Rome celebrate the birth of John the Baptist. The parties are glorious and vivacious. High spots include firework displays and the procession of all members of the Clergy in Rome through the highways of the town. There are a number of practices connected with this event which may be of deep meaning to Catholic visitors and of cultural interest to other.

Estate Romana holiday - Held yearly between June and October, the state Romana holiday sees assorted locations round the town host a range of sorts of entertainment including jazz concerts, rock concerts and classical music concerts.
